The Philadelphia Eagles have signed veteran offensive tackle Will Beatty to a one-year contract. To make room for Beatty on the Eagles roster, the Eagles waived offensive tackle Taylor Hart.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles signed Beatty for veteran depth at offensive tackle. Beatty started 63 games in his eight-year career (2010 to 2016) with the New York Giants, including 57 from 2011 to 2014 at left tackle. He missed the entire 2015 season due to a torn pectoral muscle from weightlifting.
The 32-year old Beatty worked out for the Eagles in August 2016, but left without a deal.
